Established in 1966, Rippon Middle School has a staff of more than 85 teachers and over 40 support personnel. It educates nearly 1,200 students and is located in Woodbridge, Va. The school is spread across an area of approximately 35 acres. Its special areas of instruction include math and science. The school has a foreign language immersion program for seventh- and eighth-grade students. It also provides the English as a Second Language program for students who speak other languages. Rippon Middle School enrichment activities include tutorials, reading intervention programs and technology training. Its athletic programs feature football, basketball, wrestling, track and field, baseball, soccer and softball. The school s library has more than 35 computers and over 14,000 titles. Rippon Middle School is also the home of award-winning dramas and musical productions and is recognized by the state of Virginia.
