River Road Elementary provides academic programs to more than 500 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Located in Columbus, Ga., it is a part of the Muscogee County School District, which operates over 55 educational institutions with a combined enrollment of nearly 33,000 students. River Road Elementary has a business and educational alliance with W. C. Bradley Company. The school maintains a student council, safety patrol group, peer helpers, running club, and green and math teams. River Road Elementary supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, which is an international education program that seeks to prevent use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior in students.
