The Sacramento Tree Foundation is a nonprofit organization that builds urban forest and creates a legacy of trees for the Sacramento region in California. The organization works with community partners and volunteers to plant trees in business districts, parks, schools and streets. Its goal is to support the planting of 5 million new trees in the region by the year 2025. The Sacramento Tree Foundation s Greenprint program brings together elected officials, community leaders and business owners to double the tree canopy in the area. The organization has partnerships with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, City of Sacramento and Center for Urban Forest Research. It is located in Sacramento, Calif.
