Who We Are History of SALON HQ Salon HQ began in 2004. The salon was based on the idea of giving Huntington Beach, a place where the owners grew up, a high quality hair salon that would cater to a family and friends environment. Allowing a comfortable getaway that offers high energy, an awesome level of customer service and intensely creative and knowledgeable stylists. Despite common belief, Salon HQ does not stand for "salon headquarters". In fact, the HQ stands for the two women who created the salon. Shelby Heit and Shurla Quinn. The two have been life long friends and decided to collaborate their talents and create this fabulous salon. Shelby, a stylist for 28+ years, offers her expertise and knowledge in the creative and cosmetology side of the salon. Shurla, the business mind, brings structure and balance to the salon by offering her managerial skills and marketing expertise. The two create a perfect balance and thus, the salon operates smoothly and efficiently. The two created Salon HQ and continually stand by their vision and friendship.
