Salt River Materials Group is an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Located in Phoenix, the company was founded in 2003 when the Community Council merged its two enterprises, Phoenix Cement Company and Salt River Sand and Rock. Salt River Materials Group is one of the leading suppliers of Portland and masonry cements, fly ash and other coal combustion products, both normal- and light- weight aggregates and natural gypsum products throughout Arizona and Southwestern United States. The company provides an employee pollution prevention training program that includes both initial training and periodical updates to monitor and manage environmental matters throughout the company.
