About Sam's Italian Deli and Market In 1968 a young Italian couple living in Canada decided to make a go of the grocery business. With two children working alongside, they struggled through the fierce Toronto winters, selling the freshest produce, meats, hot bread and foods of their native Bari, Italy. Today in Fresno, California, Sam and Angela Marziliano, and their son Nick, continue to celebrate the traditions of Southern Italy. From the San Joaquin Valley and beyond, customers have come to know Sam's Italian Deli and Market as their own door to Italyfor the past 27 years. From the aisles packed with imported Italian pastas, olive oils, and specialty groceries, to the kitchen where Angela bakes her bread and foccacia, the Marziliano's preserve the heritage of old Italy.
