About Sandia Builders Sandia Builders is locally owned and operated by Norm and Deven King, and is an active member of the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico as well as the Better Business Bureau. Norm grew up in rural southern New Mexico and started his construction experience right out of high school. He has over 28 years of building experience, the last 12 of which he has spent in New Mexico. His building experience spans to several other states as well, including Louisiana, Texas, Nebraska, California, and Colorado. Because Norm has worked in markets different from New Mexico, he provides knowledge of different construction practices performed around the country ( for example: post-tension slabs, basements, crawl spaces, working with expansive soil conditions, working with building codes unique to seismic movement geographic locations, etc. ) His business partner, Deven, is an Albuquerque native and has spent the last 13 years in the construction industry. She has experience in the design center, purchasing department, plan take-off / estimating, accounting, and value-engineering new homes.
