Founded in 1871, Sarah Reed Children's Center is a private, nonprofit mental health organization that serves children with emotional, behavioral and psychiatric difficulties throughout Erie County in Pennsylvania. The center provides residential treatment services for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 18. It offers medication management, individual and group counseling, and psychiatric consultation and assessment services. Sarah Reed Children's Center also provides outpatient and behavioral health rehabilitation services. The center offers therapeutic day care programs for children in preschool and kindergarten. In addition, it offers school-based services. Sarah Reed Children's Center conducts anger and frustration management sessions.
