Established in 1998, Capital Dialysis was formed by a group of physicians striving to develop the model kidney care delivery system for central Texas. The company employs trained nurses, technicians, dieticians and other staff members, and uses modern equipment. Each of its dialysis units has a social worker present to assist patients with their social services needs. Capital Dialysis also provides dialysis to hospitalized patients at all of the acute-care hospitals in San Marcos, Austin and Round Rock in Texas, so that patients can choose the hospital they want to go to and still receive their dialysis care. Its affiliate, CARR Dialysis Center, has a dialysis unit in Round Rock.
