Dr. Schackel obtained his bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois, and a certificate in orthodontics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has provided the highest quality orthodontic care since 1977, when he started his private practice in Santa Fe.Dr. Schackel is board eligible and a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, the New Mexico Dental Association and the Santa Fe District Dental Society.Away from the office, Dr. Schackel and his wife, Toni, enjoy the outdoors: golf, tennis, and beach activities.
