The group acts as a holding company, and is for its various subsidiaries, involved in diverse segments of the real estate industry. Schomac Group and its subsidiaries employ more than 500 personnel nationwide. The group is one of the largest real estate related employers and self-storage operators in southern Arizona. It has developed more than 4,000 apartment units in Tucson and Las Vegas, in addition to over 800,000-square-foot of retail, office and medical space. The group has also developed more than 4 million-square-foot of self-storage space in over 10 states in the United States through its subsidiary, National Self Storage. It has sponsored more than 100 syndicated and private limited partnerships, and has joint ventured properties with institutions and private individuals.
