The Schuster family legacy in ophthalmology reaches back more than 100 years since 1896. His grandfather became the first Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat specialist in the Southwest. Dr. Schuster's father and uncle also practiced Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat surgery in El Paso for more than 50 years. Dr. Stephen Schuster is a third generation ophthalmologist and has been in practice for over 25 years. He performs 75 to 100 refractive surgeries a month.
