Operational for more than 50 years, Search Institute is an independent, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that works to provide leadership, knowledge and resources to promote the health of children, youths and communities. It works in collaboration with various foundations, corporations, schools, communities and faith-based organizations. The organization offers a variety of tools, resources and services for parents, educators, youth workers and policy makers. Search Institute serves schools, families, businesses and social service organizations, as well as the public sector. It is funded by Lilly Endowment, Houston Endowment, Capital One, Coors Brewing Company and the Best Buy Children s Foundation. The organization operates an online store that sells books and games. Search Institute administers several training programs, as well as provides survey services.
