The SEARCH Program serves students in grades seven through nine. Its academic curriculum includes math, science, English, social studies, reading, and physical and health education. The program includes special education programs for students with developmental disabilities. The SEARCH Program also serves students with poor academics, social issues and limited behavioral situations. It is administered by Benny Benson Secondary School, which is an alternative educational institution that offers a range of learning and extracurricular opportunities. Benny Benson Secondary School an annual enrollment of more than 250 students. It maintains a library that provides a variety of educational resources and materials. The school is governed by the Anchorage School District.
