Established in 1973, Self-Help Home Improvement Project is a private nonprofit organization. It has helped with the housing needs of over 28,000 households in the Shasta, Trinity and Tehama counties in California. The organization offers a home energy assistance program for low-income families. Self-Help Home Improvement Project also provides utility assistance and repair services.
