Founded in 1966, Shady Lane School offers a variety of educational programs for toddlers and preschoolers. Its classes focus on increasing independence and improving sensory awareness and creative expression of children. Shady Lane School assists children to progress from early childhood education to kindergarten. The school maintains a library, mini art studio, and science and play areas. It is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Shady Lane School also offers scholarship programs and subsidy support through the Shady Lane Scholarship Endowment, designated proceeds raised through the Riverview/Shady Lane Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization and other annual fundraising and grants.
