Shari's Restaurants began in Hermiston, Ore., in 1978. Positive public reaction to Shari's 24-hour family dining concept led to the establishment of a second restaurant in Sherwood, Ore., within one year. The restaurant has continued to open new restaurants, operating nearly 100 restaurants throughout the Western United States, primarily in Oregon and Washington. Food revenues are in excess of $130 million, thus making it the largest privately held restaurant chains in Oregon. The restaurant s menu includes breakfast items, such as bacon, eggs, pancakes, omelets and toast; lunch items, such as salad, soups, hamburgers and fries; dinner items that include ribs, fried steak, shrimp, sirloin and salmon; a children s menu; a variety of pies and ice cream treats; griddle items; skillet breakfast items, a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers and gourmet wraps; starter plates that include potato skins, shrimp, cheese sticks, wings and chicken strips; and a variety of dinner favorites.
