Shasta Community Health Dental Centers are community based organizations dedicated to providing dental care to Shasta County residents.
We are committed to providing comprehensive, high quality, efficient and effective dental care services delivered in a caring and compassionate way.
**Appointments** - For same day appointments, call as early in the day as possible. If you cannot keep your appointment, please call to cancel so someone else can be scheduled at that time. Late arrivals may need to reschedule.
**After Hours** clinician access, call 246-5710.
**Payments** - We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare, CMSP, self-pay patients and some private insurance. We are a Blue Cross / Blue Shield Delta Dental Healthy Families provider (some limitations apply). Please call to find out if SCHC if a provider for your insurance. Remember to bring your insurance ID card and any co-payments to every appo intment.
**Uninsured?** - You may qualify for a number of State / Federal programs, or you may qualify for our sliding fee scale discount program (based on ability to pay). Ask our staff about our financial programs when you call for an appointment.
**Healthy Families Plan** - Provides low cost health, dental and vision insurance for parents and children from 1 year old up to age 19. Call 246-5948 for enrollment information.

GENERAL DENTAL CARE
To meet the needs of our patients, Shasta Community Health Dental Center provides examinations, gum evaluations, cleaning, and fluoride treatments, x-ray services, and education in preventive care, fillings, partial and full dentures, extractions, root canals, and minor oral surgery.
SPECIALIZED DENTAL REFERRALS
Generally, your Shasta Community Health Dental Center Dentist will try to resolve your dental problems without a referral to a dental specialist. However, if a referral is needed, we will assist you in every way possible.
