Established in 1986, the Sidran Institute is a nonprofit organization that provides treatment and recovery services for people who suffer from traumatic stress, dissociative disorders and suicidal tendencies. It provides behavioral and mental health care services for individuals with a history of alcohol and drug addiction or self-injury. The Sidran Institute specializes in developing and distributing trauma-focused books, videotapes, DVDs and educational brochures, as well as assessment and teaching tools. It also offers various educational programs for public awareness, as well as clinical training and medical consulting services for trauma-related issues. Additionally, the institute provides health care coordination services to meet the needs of individual patients. The Sidran Institute is located in Baltimore.
