Established in 1984, the Surface Mount Technology Association, also known as SMTA, is a nonprofit international association of companies and individuals involved in all aspects of the electronics industry. Based in Edina, Minn., the association is dedicated to the advancement of the electronics industry through member education and interaction. Members range from students who are newcomers to the industry to long-time professionals who are widely recognized as industry leaders. Surface Mount Technology Association provides membership under various classes, such as User Global Membership, Supplier Corporate Membership, Supplier Global Membership, Participating Membership, International Chapter Affiliate Membership, each with a different requirement and member benefit.
