Society For Industrial And Applied Mathematics, founded in 1951, is an organization that aims to promote the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science, and society. Located in Philadelphia, it promotes research for new mathematical and computational methods and techniques for the science and engineering industry. It provides a media for the exchange of information and ideas among mathematicians, engineers and scientists.
