SONY BMG Music Entertainment is 50 percent owned by Bertelsmann A.G. (BMG's parent) and 50 percent owned by Sony Corporation of America. The company is comprised largely of the recorded music labels of Sony Music and BMG, but the music publishing and manufacturing operations remain separate.
