Established in 1966, La Frontera Center is a community-based behavioral health agency. It is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Its services include case management, outpatient mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment and vocational rehabilitation. The center also conducts and participates in numerous research projects. Its outpatient treatment services include therapies, psychiatric assessments, medication management, crisis intervention and continuing care. The center s methamphetamine intensive outpatient program offers cognitive behavioral treatment, saliva testing, motivational interviewing and contingency management services. La Frontera Center, with a location in Tucson, Ariz., operates more than five facilities in various parts of the city. The center is owned and operated by La Frontera.
