The Southern Nevada Health District, also known as SNHD, is one of the largest local public health organizations in the United States that provides health care services for residents and visitors of Clark County in Nevada. Founded in 1962, it serves more than 1 million individuals and offers bioterrorism and disaster and emergency preparedness services. The organization operates administrative services, community health services and environmental health divisions. The Southern Nevada Health District s nursing and clinics division provides health-related clinical services. It has a staff of over 500 individuals.
