Friends of the Zoo of Springfield, also known as FOZ, is a membership organization that works to construct new exhibits and provide fun education experiences related to animals. The organization offers a range of care services for animals. It also administers several educational programs. Friends of the Zoo is a foundation of Dickerson Park Zoo, which is a division of the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Dickerson Park Zoo is an accredited member institution of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. The zoo features animals, such as Asian elephants, wolves, elephants, tigers, frogs, zebra, snake, lion, bear, monkey, donkey, giraffe and cheetahs.
