Founded in 1922, Saint Gertrude High School is an independent, Catholic college preparatory day school for girls in grades 9 through 12. It offers a variety of programs in English, theology, fine arts, health and wellness, math, science, technology and foreign languages. The school operates a library that offers a range of reading materials, including newspapers, books, novels, journals and periodicals. Saint Gertrude High School operates a counseling department that provides information on scholarship programs and college courses. In addition, it promotes students' participation in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as theater and chorus. The school organizes annual day celebrations and fundraising events, as well as sports contests in hockey and volleyball.
