St. Louis Park Public Schools governs nearly seven schools. The district follows an academic program coupled with several after-school activities at both elementary and secondary levels. It plans and prepares the academic and athletic curriculum for its schools. Its academic curriculum includes a variety of subjects, including, English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign languages, music, arts and physical education. The district, located in St. Louis Park, Minn., also supports several sports activities, such as volleyball, football, cheerleading and cross country. Additionally, the district offers a wide range of developmental programs, including extensive summer enrichment and recreation activities and child care and childhood special education programs. Its child care program is available at each of its elementary schools. The district s childhood special education program is designed for children with mental and physical disabilities.
