St. Paul Urban Tennis Program provides tennis and life skills training to individuals in Saint Paul, Minn. The program serves the youth, and encourages minority involvement, promotes gender equity and focuses on maximum participation. It offers living skills, such as goal setting, respect for diversity, health and team play. The program also provides various awards and scholarships for participants, such as the SA Picnic and Awards. It also organizes various summer programs, local tournaments and other contests. The program receives funds from the local government, corporations, businesses, grants and individual donations. It also organizes various fund-raising events that include golf scramble and the ProAm mixed doubles tennis tournament.
