The State Life Insurance Company, a OneAmerica financial partner, was founded in 1894. The Indiana-based company offers individual long-term care insurance. The company is one of the oldest mutual companies in the nation and is licensed to do business in the District of Columbia and all states, except Alaska, Hawaii, New York and Wyoming. In 1994, State Life began an alliance with American United Life Insurance Company. OneAmerica's nationwide network of partner companies and affiliates offers retirement plan products and services, individual life insurance and annuities, long-term care insurance, and group and credit insurance. The company was formed in 2000 as part of the conversion of American United Life Insurance Company to American United Mutual Insurance Holding Company. The State Life Insurance Company is headquartered in Indianapolis.
