The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department is a public recreation department funded by the Bulloch County Commission, The department maintains and operates eight recreation areas encompassing more than 200-acres and oversees over 25 buildings on these parks. These parks include more than 35 athletic fields, over 10 tennis courts and outdoor basketball courts, swimming pools, walking trails, picnic areas, playgrounds and picnic pavilions. The community recreation division also offers instructional programs involving youth and adults, such as afterschool programs and summer camps, therapeutics, instructional programs, social events and volunteerism. Its athletic division offers activities for both youth and adults, including baseball, tennis, softball, football, track, basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, swimming, cheerleading and skill camps. The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department is headquartered in Statesboro, Ga.
