Steele Elementary School is a part of the Tucson Unified School District. Established in 1962, the school enrolls more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. It employs a staff of trained nurses, teacher aides, technology coordinators, and day and evening custodians. Steele Elementary School provides special education for students with special needs. It features a full-service library and media center that maintains a collection of fiction and nonfiction books. Steele Elementary School conducts classes in math, science, reading and social studies.
