The Stephan Company, a manufacturer and distributor of personal and household products, was founded in 1897 in Worcester, Mass. The company has grown its product base through the acquisition of several companies with related products, such as Frances Denney, a developer of skin care products; Trevor Sorbie of America, a provider of a line of hair care products that is sold in more than 100,000 salons throughout the United States; Modern and Image, a developer of hair care products; and Old 97 Company, a manufacturer and seller of more than 2,000 cosmetic and household products. The Stephan Company is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and maintains more than 400,000 square feet of facilities in five locations, including Danville, Ill.; Williamsport, Pa.; and Tampa, Fla.
