Sunrise Cab was started because the owner, Bud Smith, wanted to provide a less expensive alternative to the larger and much more expensive companies that still dominate the taxi industry.
He started off with just one car then gradually grew to the 16 cars he has on the road today.
In 2005, the company had grown to a point that Sunrise Cab had to find a new place to set up shop. So we moved from 24th Street & Oak to 16th Street & Jefferson, and were still there today.
Bud and his wife Mary Ann still own the company, while their daughter Stephanie is the office manager You will still get Bud himself on the phone if you call for a cab at night.
Applying for a driver position:
You must be at least 23 years old.
Have a current 39 Month MVR from MVD.
Your Arizona Driver license and Social Security Card
You must apply in person, our office is open Monday thru Friday from Noon to Five pm. Were located at 1617 East Jefferson Street 85034. Manager's Office number is (602) 694-8331.
