Sunshine Special was founded by director Suzanne Price in 1986. Over the years, our preschool center has been lovingly handcrafted to provide a warm, nuturing and creatively inspiring studio/workshop environment for the children enrolled in our programs. Sunshine Special provides an environment and curriculum where self-concepts are enhanced, free choice decisions are offered, social skills are acquired and individuality is respected. Our educational goal is to develop in the child an active curiosity about the world they live in and an enthusiasm for learning which stimulates exploratory behavior and creativity. Children are offered abundant opportunities to spend time with friends in a range of different and satisfying activites, in large part inspired by a creative approach to childhood education based on artistic self-expression and classroom collaboration.
