Tacoma Family Medicine is a training center that conducts physician residency programs in family practice, rural family health and obstetrics. It is affiliated with the University of Washington Medical School. Tacoma Family Medicine serves more than 20 residents and conducts a three-year residency program. The center also specializes in the areas of hospital care, pediatrics, geriatrics and orthopedics. In addition, it provides free pregnancy testing, child care, financial assistance, counseling, housing and nutritional services. Tacoma Family Medicine is a part of MultiCare, which is a nonprofit health care organization that serves patients through over 90 locations in Pierce, South King, Kitsap and Thurston counties in Washington.
