Established in 1996, Tamarack Waldorf School is a nonprofit, private institution that serves more than 190 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school maintains a staff of teachers that offers educational classes in history, language arts, foreign languages, physical education, geography, Spanish, social studies and math. Its academic curriculum also includes drama, handwork, painting, drawing and sculpture. Tamarack Waldorf School organizes various sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball and softball. It operates the Tamarack Parent Association, which conducts several fundraising activities and special programs. The school organizes various field trips and camping events, as well as offers a preschool program. The school is a member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA). Tamarack Waldorf School is located in Milwaukee.
