Tampa Catholic High School was established in 1962 by the Diocese of St. Augustine to serve the needs of Catholic education for the parish families of Hillsborough County in Florida. The high school is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a coeducational, diocesan school. The Congregation of Christian Brothers, an international order of religious teachers, has worked at Tampa Catholic since 1984. The school enrolls more than 700 students, and the class size for most core academic courses is 22 to 30 students. In addition to the regular curriculum, the school offers an honors program that includes theology, world history, English, geometry, biology, Spanish and French, algebra, physical education, and performance and practical arts. The school also offers various extracurricular activities and sports programs, such as soccer, football, hockey, softball and baseball. The high school is located in Tampa, Fla.
