Founded in 1927, The Tavern Club is a private membership association that encourages intellectual recreation, good-humored interest in life, and arts and crafts. It works for the enrichment of personal, educational and civic interests in its members. The Tavern Club has members from business, science, law and artistic communities. Its facilities are spread over an area of more than 20,000 square feet and feature a lounge, bar, dining room, sky pavilion and terrace that host various parties and special events. The club additionally offers event planning and catering services for various special occasions, including wedding ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties and anniversary celebrations for nearly 1,000 people.
