Founded by Lee Roberson, Tennessee Temple University is one of the leading providers of higher education in the United States. Formerly known as Tennessee Temple Schools, the university has been operational for more than 55 years. Located in Chattanooga, Tenn., it is approved by the American Association of Bible Colleges, Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools and United States Secretary of Education. Tennessee Temple University enrolls more than 5,000 students annually and offers over 40 intercollegiate, intramural and recreation sports programs. It provides courses in fine and liberal arts, vocational and instrumental music, professional studies and teacher education, early childhood education, and reading and instructional technology. The university also offers courses in media management, English and creative writing, mathematics, business management, economics, world history, neuroscience, mass communication, agricultural and industrial arts, and foreign languages and literature.
