Pediatric surgeon Dr. James C. Gilbert manages all aspects of pediatric general surgery. He accepts consultations from pediatricians, family practice physicians, internal medicine physicians and local specialists from north Alabama and southern Tennessee to provide a seamless continuum of care.

&bull Surgical pediatric evaluation and treatment of a variety of serious conditions in neonates, infants, children and adolescents.
&bull Coordination of care including personal dictated letters to each referring physician within 48-72 hours following the initial new patient consultation.
&bull Diagnostic radiological services through Huntsville Hospital, including CT scan, Ultrasound and MRI (as appropriate), within one to five business days of the initial visit. We also offer same day radiological service with some tests that are ordered during the initial office visit.
&bull Collaborative care of pediatric patients throughout the various stages of the operative process.
