Texas Star Investments is a convenience store company in Texas. The company employs approximately 150 employees throughout South and Central Texas. Established in 1933, the company was started by Edgar Linkenhoger as a fuel and lubricants wholesaler. By the 1940s and 1950s several service stations were built in the Corpus Christi, Texas, area and the company began to market Texaco gasoline. In the 1970s, Texas Star began building convenience stores with self-serve gasoline. Texas Star Investments operates in more than 10 cities throughout Texas, including Alice, Odem, Corpus Christi, Refugio, Jarrell, Kingsville, Kenedy, Goliad, Portland, Beeville and Mathis.
