The Art Institute of Washington offers a range of educational programs at degree-, associate- and diploma-levels in the areas of advertising, audio production, science, commercial photography, fashion and retail management, and visual and game programming. The institute is a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, which is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Art Institute of Washington is certified by the State Council of Higher Education. Its programs are accredited by the American culinary federation foundation. Founded in 2002, it enrolls more than 1,700 students. The Art Institute of Washington is spread over an area of nearly 88,000 square feet that features a library, classrooms and computer laboratories.
