The Children s Museum of Houston is one of the leading museums for children in the United States. Serving more than 700,000 people annually, it is one of the highest-attended youth museum in the country. The museum aims to provide innovative, child-centered learning, and offers more than 10 galleries of hands-on exhibits and bilingual learning programs for children up to 12-years old. It also provides bilingual family learning programs and educational services to families, including those who visit the museum and access the services of area schools, child care centers, community centers, public libraries and social service agencies. It also has a 166-seat auditorium, and a parent resource library, which offers a diverse array of materials on parenting and early childhood education. The museum is supported by income generated by usage fees and contributions from the community, and is located in Houston.
