Henry Elster is a native of St. Louis. Throughout law school, Henry honed his legal skills in a variety of different settings. His first legal experience came from working for two solo practitioners in downtown St. Louis on personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. After gaining experience in that setting, Henry worked for an international corporation’s offices in St. Louis. While there, Henry worked on a wide range of issues ranging from tax problems, to employment discrimination, to federal administrative law, to contract disputes. Soon thereafter, Henry increased the breadth of his experience by working for a small criminal defense firm in Clayton, Missouri. Henry’s primary tasks there revolved around the constitutional issues present in a death penalty case. The following Summer, Henry accepted a position with his federal congressman in Washington D.C. He worked alongside the congressman’s primary counsel on legislation and analyzed several legislative initiatives. After working for his Congressman, Henry worked for the Missouri Attorney General’s office in its civil litigation department. Afforded broad leeway by attorneys, Henry was able to work on cases concerning such things as police liability, premises liability, substantive and procedural due process and the limits of Free Speech under the First Amendment. Given this broad base of experience, The Elster Law Office is able to provide a wide range of legal services. The Firm works closely with clients to help further and protect their legal interests at a reasonable price. *The choice of a lawyer is an important one and should not be based solely upon advertisements*
