Institute of International Finance, established in 1983, is a global association of financial institutions. It provides analysis and research of emerging markets, including Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions. It offers international financial regulation in areas, such as regulatory capital, electronic banking and finance, conglomerate supervision, public disclosure, and risk management and measurement. It also has a special committee on crisis prevention and resolution and equity advisory group. It also provides investor relations for emerging market economy. Its members include commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, investment management firms, multinational corporations, trading companies, export credit agencies, and multilateral agencies. It is located in Washington, D.C., and has offices in more than 60 countries.
