Operational for more than 30 years, the Montrose Counseling Center, also known as MCC, provides prevention and behavioral health care services for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) individuals. It also offers services for individuals with HIV and AIDS. The center administers the Living Insightfully For Empowerment (LIFE) Program, which includes individual, couple, family and group counseling services for issues, such as depression, anxiety, religious abuse, financial crisis, personal growth and mood disorders. The Montrose Counseling Center offers education and training classes related to hepatitis, tuberculosis, homophobia, heterosexism, violence prevention and sexually transmitted infections. It provides services in prisons, halfway houses, schools, social organizations, businesses, corporations, churches, and inpatient and outpatient recovery centers. The Montrose Counseling Center is accredited by The Joint Commission.
