Established in 1984, Whitaker Glen is devoted to creating a Continuing Care Retirement Community to provide residents with a place to retire. It offers this style of living in an upscale area of Raleigh, NC. The community is a beautiful location with gentle rolling hills covered by beautiful oak trees, and with a four story high, sky-lit, climate-controlled atrium as its focal point.
In 1957, Travis Tomlinson Sr. opened the doors to Mayview Convalescent Center. This provided the beginning of the campus and allowed Travis and Parker Tomlinson to develop Whitaker Glen. Since its inception, the staff on campus has been dedicated to providing excellent living accommodations while giving quality customer service. The Tomlinson family's goal was to provide the best retirement community in the Raleigh, NC area. They achieved this goal with Whitaker Glen, a community that offers you a worry-free atmosphere you can call home.

The Oaks at Whitaker Glen is Raleigh's premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) providing superior senior living in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina. Situated in the popular Five Point's East neighborhood, Whitaker Glen offers all the comforts you need to maintain a lifestyle as tranquil or vibrant as you desire. Our beautiful campus includes both Independent Living with Supportive as well as Skilled Nursing Care at our 5 star healthcare center, The Oaks at Mayview. Residents are able to make a seamless transition between these levels of care as their health care needs change. Because of the close proximity of campus buildings, residents always have their spouse or friends close by for support. To further enhance the services we provide, we are opening a home health office onsite and plans are underway for the addition of an Assisted Living facility on campus in the near future.
