Founded in 1965, Tierra Vista School serves more than 550 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, science and social science. It offers tutoring and counseling services. Tierra Vista School features a library, media center and over 20 classrooms. It provides extracurricular activities, including spelling bee competitions, fine arts shows and science fairs. The school operates a parent-faculty organization. Tierra Vista School offers special education classes, as well as after-school programs for gifted and talented students. The school also manages a basketball team and band. Tierra Vista Elementary School is part of the Ocean View School District.
