At Tigertail's we specialize in guided airboat tours through the heart of the Everglades.Our experienced guides take you on an exciting airboat ride through grand open areas and sawgrass trails to hammocks (or tree islands) that have been passed down through generations of the Tigertail family. On our private hammock, which was originally used as a hunting camp by the Tigertails, our company cares for young alligators and a variety of turtles. We also work with the local wildlife unit and care for injured wildlife as well as the nuisance animals which we relocate to our hammock. Here you will experience the Everglades first hand as you handle baby alligators and turtles,learn about them and the history of the area and the proud people who inhabit it. Our standard tour is 40 min. ,you make one stop on our private hammock. We also provide an hour tour where you make an additional stop on a hammock where the Tigertail family used to live. There is also a family of wild alligators that live on this hammock so you might catch a glimpse of the twelve foot "Papa Gator". Group rates, longer, private, and night tours as well as more specialized tours such as bird watching or filming are available, contact us for more details
