Tony's Restaurant - For nearly 50 years lovers of fine food and spirits have traveled near and far to a charming river town called Alton to dine at the world renowned Tony's Restaurant and Third Street Cafe. Tony's has been owned and operated by the Tony and Edie Ventimiglia Family since 1954. Tony's Tuscany dining room offers a casual relaxed atmosphere with elegant tones. This dining room draws you in with it's deep colored walls, pressed tin ceiling, and the amber tiffany lamps adding the perfect glow over the cozy private booths. Please note there are no reservations accepted in this dining room. The casual Tuscany dining room is seated on a first come first serve basis. If reservations are essential, Tony's boasts four elegant dining rooms complete with pristine white table linens and service that is second to none. Of course great service and atmosphere aren't the only reasons people have been making the trip to Tony's for 55 years. Tony's is the home of the World Famous Pepperloin Steak. This beef tenderloin is marinated in Tony's secret marinade, rolled in half cracked black pepper, grilled to perfection, and drizzled with garlic butter. After one bite of this mouth watering steak you will never want steak from another restaurant again. It is so tender it can be cut with a butter knife, and it practically melts on your palette.
